Re: Diatonic PowerCombs and Stealth-Valves Released
I still don't understand the point of the powercombs. Seydel just puts the valves on the reedplates using their regular combs. What advantage does having a slot on the comb for the valves do?

Re: Power Chromatic
I just noticed PowerChromatic is the same as PowerBender if you start on hole 3 but almost the same as PowerDraw if you start on hole 1. Is there any place I can read more about this tuning? It has me a bit baffled. I mean, if it's meant to be like Powerbender, why isn't it like this: CD DE FG AB CD...

Re: Power Chromatic
I was just reading about the PowerChromatic tuning and noticed it is very similar the middle octave of Powerdraw, except with the F sharpened like the country tuning. I always thought Powerdraw should have been CD EG GB CD EF' GA AB CD EG AC (note the F Sharp). Anyhow, now I'm wondering why PowerChr...

Re: Lucky 13 in PowerBender, PowerDraw & Paddy Richter
Interesting. I'm not as attached to the traditional blues harp sound and the powerbender flows really well with me so I plan on sticking with it. I was just curious about Powerdraw. Sound aside, I might have considered Powerdraw if you could draw bend that hole 5. It's somehow really enjoyable to me...

Re: Lucky 13 in PowerBender, PowerDraw & Paddy Richter
What is a Power Chrome? And since you use both Powerbender and Powerdraw, What do you like better about powerbender than powerdraw? They seem really similar. I tongue block holes 1-3 on the left side and holes 4-10 on the right side, though this may evolve over time. So glad I learned to tongue-bloc...

Re: Lucky 13 in PowerBender, PowerDraw & Paddy Richter
I suppose I can live with that though I'm not clear what I am losing out on yet. Many of the harmonica players I like lip purse anyway - I mainly tongue block everything because it's way more comfortable for me than lip pursing. Bending notes hasn't been a problem for me using tongue-block. I'll pro...

Re: Lucky 13 in PowerBender, PowerDraw & Paddy Richter
I noticed that in the video you mentioned Powerbender is not well suited for tongue-block. I've acquired a 100% tongue-block style, and being fairly new to the harmonica, I'm wondering why Powerbender is not good for tongue-blocking. It concerns me a bit as I go deeper into the tuning using tongue-b...

Re: What Would You Like to See?
I do have an instructional book/CD for PowerBender already, in case you hadn't seen it: Actually, I did buy this book and it's the first one I learned from. That's how I started learning about the 7 pentatonic scales in the 1st,2nd Maj/Min,3rd,4th,5th and 12th which was my main focus in practicing ...

Re: What Would You Like to See?
I'd like to see more Powerbender Videos. I got my first harmonica, a Powerbender, from Brenden a little more than a year ago and since then have been practicing everyday. I love this tuning, maybe for slightly different reasons than why it was designed. I hated that I couldn't draw bend notes 5 and ...
