Congrats!
This is very cool, I like this concept even more than the slipslider!

Re: INTEGRATED SLIDER-MOUTHPIECE - Tech Tuesday #7
I think an ideal version of this harp would be as close as possible to a traditional size harp. I have the same goal. I want a "Trochilus" that I can toss in my pocket, without the slider getting in the way, and without having to have a hard case in order to protect the slider. I started making pro...

Re: "Harmonica levers" - harmonica idea for irish trad players
I still think a customised chromatic harmonica is the best solution, and available right now. However, you said: Yeah, I was thinking about using slider for that. It's not ideal though cause sometimes I want to play harmonica in a holder with my concertina. There's a solution for that: Vern Smith's...

Re: Seydel 1847 Slipslider Project
My day job kept me especially busy this week, I didn't have much time to move forward on any of these projects, let alone time to practice. Belated thanks for your video, Dom. It certainly shows that your ingenious assembly works to alter draw reeds pitches in the Seydel 1847. The magnet spring back...

Using the Trochilus as an x-reed platform
Hey folks, I've started on another project and am looking for advice on a few decisions to make. The Trochilus gets 40 reeds into something "nearly" as small as a diatonic at least something that would be "pocketable" if it weren't for the slide. I've thought about what to do with that slide, redesi...

Re: Hypothetical Multi-Reed Chamber Interaction
Hey Rob! This is a very timely discussion, I am also working on my first x-reed project and was going to make a post with some similar questions. Because you have 4 reeds in the chamber and you are planning on making a Sub-30 style harmonica, are you repurposing a chromatic? I had started a similar ...

Re: Slide Diatonic tuning ideas for blues and rock: "Wilde Slide" Tuning
One thing that occurred to me yesterday is that you can get very similar, but not quite the same bending enharmonic effects by either tuning the slide-in to the same tuning, but a whole step down, or the same tuning but a fifth up. Since both of those keys are closely related to the home key of the ...

Re: Bluesy slide-harp tuning
Speaking of "emulators" This I think was another Suyash Kumar idea, you could have slide-in emulate a slipslider slide left, so all draw reeds in the upper octave now bend. RICHTER slide in: G. C. E. G. C. E. G. C. E. G. BLOW. C. E. G. C. E. G. C. E. G. C DRAW. D. G. B. D. F. A. B. D. F. A slide in:...

A "switch harp / double chromatic" for these might be a lot of fun.
What's better than two bendable diatonic harps stacked on top of one another? Four bendable diatonic harps stacked on top of one another!

Re: Bluesy slide-harp tuning
I think we might start seeing a lot more of these cool slide diatonic tunings now that the average-joe diatonic player is starting to warm up to these 10 hole chromatics.
