I figured it out. The nut for the MP screw had slip upwards, causing the MP assembly and slide to shift up, causing the slider spring to rub up against the top of the slit it pokes thru. Pushing the nut back down into position fixed it. It slides great now. google doodle baseball Oh that's a great ...
