Re: The SlipSlider - a Revolutionary Blues Harp. It's Weird, but it Works!

On the PowerBender you'd only need a right shift of the lower reedplate for extra bends, because it is a regular breath tuning. Currently you can draw bend every hole 1-10, and that gives nearly full chromaticism. You can overblow every hole to achieve full chromaticism. A SlipSlider version of Powe...

Re: The SlipSlider - a Revolutionary Blues Harp. It's Weird, but it Works!

MORE OVERBENDS, if you want them... It just struck me that there is even more extra on the SlipSlider than I thought, for some who might want it. Those who play with overbends can continue using their hard-won technique when the harp is in the neutral position, but add to it with new bends AND new o...

Re: NEW PRODUCT: The SlipSlider. A Revolutionary Blues Harp: It's Weird, but it Works!

Ah yes, the hole 7 draw dampener... In my comb design, because of the Richter tuning, there is a large chamber at the crossover between the two breath patterns at hole 7. Without the dampener, 7 draw will stay in the airstream when the lower reedplate is pushed to right or left. That's no good for t...

Re: NEW PRODUCT: The SlipSlider. A Revolutionary Blues Harp: It's Weird, but it Works!

Good questions. The bends I demonstrated are the only new ones possible on a Richter tuned harp. For key C: Hole 2 blow: E to D# Hole 5 blow: E to D# Hole 6 blow: G to F# Hole 7 blow: C to B and Bb Hole 8 draw: D to C# Hole 9 draw: A to G# That's 6 new bends (7 if you include the two semitones on ho...

Re: Upcoming this Week: Two New Products

That's an interesting Slide Diatonic you made there, Crawford. What were the two tunings?

Re: Upcoming this Week: Two New Products

Egg-on-face time sorry folks: Been working hard all week on these babies but encountered a couple of unforeseen problems which necessitated going back into the R&D phase to overcome, and just ran out of time to complete everything for a proper launch. Got to focus elsewhere for a while: I'm off to T...
