Re: Is something wrong with the online store?
As well as the new shopping cart interface we are also making some changes to the top menu system to make things easier to find and also to make the interface more user friendly on mobile displays. I really will appreciate that. Up till now the structure of the site seemed quite obscure to me and n...

Re: High D diatonic chrom?
I will give it a go-what's the worst that can happen?!? One bad thing that could happen, is that you might damage the one or the other reed and that you will need to replace them - with a Suzuki (or any other harp with welded reeds) this can be a delicate operation. The worst thing that can happen ...

Re: High D diatonic chrom?
Thanx, the question was just a try because it was talked about it here. I will ask Bertram (I must call him anyway) or Arnd (the chief technician at Seydel's). Or maybe I will contact Boris Plotnikov. He already did. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBGtxeCI2VA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unVmdd1...

Re: High D diatonic chrom?
Oh, thank you for this post. This was very inlightening to me. The reeds will take tuning up the amounts needed - about 4 semitones at the most, I think. In the low octave you need to add weight to the reeds. And if I want to tune down Seydel steel reeds for more than some few cents (where a hard me...

Re: TuneMaster harmonica
One idea would be to drill holes in the cover plates above each magnet, so that it could be adjusted without removing the cover plate. This would facilitate quick adjustments. Another option would be to selectively drill holes for frequently changed notes. I got the idea after seeing Brendan's prot...

Re: NEW: Seydel All Minor
I was thinking a locking mechanism would be very useful on this device. I can't picture it exactly, but something. I presume a hard restraint might be counterproductive to finetuning - and to quartertone tunings as well. The latter maybe might not be an intended main feature, but as it has been men...

Re: NEW: Seydel All Minor
The only inconvenience I expect from these slides in comparison to a standard harmonica is, that they might disturb my lips's movement along the coverplates when playing fast and with full chords. With this I put the harp relatively deep into my mouth. So the slide knobs possibly might cause a fric...

Re: Introducing the GASKET-VALVE System
The chromatic Gasket-Valve will require all the existing valves to be pulled off and their glue patches thoroughly removed - which is a job most chrom players will not wish to do ... That might be true. But I have 2 very fine 280 "Larry Adler", about 50 years old I presume. On them I blow away one ...

Re: Introducing the GASKET-VALVE System
Hi Brendan, looks very fine and seems quite easy ti fit, compared to standard valves. In your video you told about valve sets for chromatics. But I can not find them on your web site. The most urgent I would need are for Hohner 280. But perspectively I am interested also for my Hohner CX-12, Hohner ...
