Re: Comb of Fanfare S question

All the tremolos I know have these horizontal dividers - and all octave harps I know as well. I guess Eric explained the reasons for this very well. And this has already been like this long before the chromatic harps even had been invented.

Re: PowerBender Versus EdHarmonica

... there is no perfect harmonica tuning! Either you choose just one and live with it, good and bad, for the sake of simplicity - or you keep a few tunings handy to suit particular styles/pieces. ... I know which side of the fence I'm on, but also that it's a minority choice: the vast majority will...

Re: Easttop Melody Bass Harmonica - Layout Question

Usually most of these asian layouts make some sense. To say more about it, it is necessary to know whether it is a blow only (most probably) or a blow and draw. The last note of the upper reed plate is not readable clearly. Most probably it means "A#/Bb" - that would make more sense), but it could m...

Re: Notation Software with Harmonica Plugins - Recommendations wanted

If I had realized this earlier, I could have written my reply a little bit shorter. And it has neither been invented by me nor by Edvin. It is the nick of a user here: https://thesession.org/tunes/139#setting26435 Btw: This is a very nice site anyway. It contains lots and lots of fine tunes an...

Re: Notation Software with Harmonica Plugins - Recommendations wanted

Maybe I did not catch the question all right. But it was not meant as a joke at all. It was an answer to this part of the question, as far as I had understood it: How can I bring notation into a digitally reproducable form the easiest, fastest and cheapest way? As I learned by your diligent a...

Re: Notation Software with Harmonica Plugins - Recommendations wanted

... I have some nice PDFs, but I'm not sure how to upload them in a convenient way for you to see. It can easily be done like any odd picture: 1. Make an upload to a picture host that allows PDF as a format. (e.g. picr.de) 2. Link the code here. Sample: https://thumbs.picr.de/34575618wd.jpg click t...

Re: Spanish tuning

This one looks fine. Thank you. I think I will try it soon. Option 1 is to prefer in my eyes. Just the rising of 9d from F to B and 10d from A to D# is a harsh step of 7 halftones. It is to hope that this will not weaken the reeds over their capability. Option 2 covers all notes of each chord too, b...

Re: Spanish tuning

Hi R!Bo (is that your name?), as far as I know Hohner is not producing this tuning any more. (I bought it about the year of 1982 or so. And they told me then that were a prototype or a special edition or anything alike.) But you can order it by the Seydel configurator if you do not want to retune so...
