Re: The OVERBLOW BOOSTER - Overblows Made Easy, New OB Effects

Bends and Overbends happen regardless of the reed intervals, so no need to limit them in your definition.

Re: The OVERBLOW BOOSTER - Overblows Made Easy, New OB Effects

@IaNerd: If you understand the principle of interactive-reed bending you'll have the answer to all those queries. Basically the high reed in each hole can bend almost down to the pitch of the low reed, about a quartertone above it. Just apply that and you have a universal solution to all the questio...

@ rlb: Yes, valves and overbends are incompatible, it's one or the other.

I've just designed a version for PowerBender/PowerDraw tnings. It's just one part on the blow reedplate, will get back to you after testing.

See You at SPAH

I'm coming to SPAH in St. Louis. I've registered as a Vendor there and will be bringing a wide selection of my stuff, some as single samples to try and some to buy (eg. the Overblow Booster), plus new harmonica models to be announced soon.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Re: The SlipSlider - a Revolutionary Blues Harp.

Sorry for delays in the various harps or variants mentioned above, but I'm snowed under with missions at present, mostly to do with production issues for the SlipSlider and Overblow Booster, plus other general life stuff. Not getting much design/testing time. All will come eventually.

Re: Natural Minor Lucky 13's and New Case?

Maybe in the future if Natural Minor becomes more popular. But it's such an easy tuning change from Richter, I'd recommend people doing it themselves for now.

Re: The OVERBLOW BOOSTER - Overblows Made Easy, New OB Effects

Ta for the comments. As for installing the Overblow Booster in the Asiabend: I haven't got around to that Triona, but it should help, as you say. One more mission for the 'to do' list :) The Suzuki Overdrive has some strange anomalies, to do with our old friend Helmholtz Resonance. Pat's article cov...

The OVERBLOW BOOSTER - Overblows Made Easy, New OB Effects

Here's an idea I've been working on for a while, a way to make overbends (overblows and overdraws) easy to get from hole 1-10, even o stock OTB harps.
