Irish Session Harp Hering

Post by Paul Sanders » Sat Nov 23, 2019 11:41 am

Hey All,

I am looking for any of the diatonic "Irish session harps" that were produced by Hering in the key of D&G for Brendan - if anybody wants to sell one please let me now..
Kind regards.
Paul.

They are very rare.

In case of you will maybe not find one, there is an alternative, but it is rather expensive:
Seydel Sampler, configurated in LD+G.
The standard Sampler D+G ("the Irish") is one octave higher than the Hering, but a little bit cheaper.
If you don't like the slide lock of the Seydel, you can easily remove it.

Brendan's contemporary alternative to the ISH is his Switch harp. It is a modular system with some additional features. And it is based on ten hole diatonics.

Thank you Triona - for the reply and Seydel information. I am also in contact with Joel Anderson in regards to the Octave set up he uses from Brendan's Octave mouth piece.

Regards
paul.
