Making a C#/ D 260 from a C harp

Post by Ryan » Thu Jan 28, 2021 5:43 pm

I recently ordered a few 260 combs. I am going to try and make a C#/D from a C harp. Do people think it’s a better idea to tune every reed up a half step (top and bottom) or just tune the top plate up a whole step?

Trying to create the harmonica Mick Kinsella demonstrates with yellow 260 comb in YouTube video a bunch of years back...

I'd just tune the top plate up a whole step - that's the way I've done it in the past.

Thanks for the response Brendan. If all goes well I think I’ll make up one in G as well.

Cheers Ryan
