Now that some of us have had our DM-48's for a few weeks, I'd be interested in hearing your settings - what have you settled on for "Sensitivity" "Trigger" "Bend Sensivity", etc. and all those other settings? Or are you just using the defaults?

As mentioned earlier in this thread, I've been working over the past few months with London electronics guru Tim Jacobs to make a mini pitchbender for the DM48, and I think we've cracked it. I've also designed a 10-hole diatonic-style mouthpiece for blues harp players. Check out the video to see them in action:

I have had mine for a couple of weeks now. I use Mixcraft 8 but i have no general setup because i must change settings depending on which instrument i chose in Mixcraft. Just one example...if i chose violin my bend trig level is about 8 and it sounds good allowing double notes.
If i chose many of the synt instruments
my bend trig level on 8 sounds terrible so i must shift to 15 to sound natural. Also double notes dont work with this option. So it all depends and i must change several parameters for each instrument i chose.

Today I received my "MIDIPLUS MiniEngine USB" from Amazon. It's a little larger than a cigarette pack and runs on a USB rechargeable battery. It is completely "Plug & Play" with the DM-48 with no perceivable latency. It does not require a computer. You just plug into the headphone jack with year earphones and its a self-contained solution.

The downside is that its limited to the original GM General Midi Patch Bank sounds (circa 1991). And its got no built in speaker. Still its great for portable practice. I recommend it.

I've been getting into the Thor app on iPad. Bernzilla (Bernie Kenerson) has a good patch set for it, as does Patchman. Links:

I'm finding I need to constantly change Sensitivity settings on the DM48 for different patches. Also for these patch sets you need a Linear Response Curve, as that's what they were programmed for.

It's also very helpful to use external gain and volume controls to help you get the right dynamics. I'm constantly adjusting them as well.

The DM48 is fantastic through multi effects units like the Korg Pandora. It's designed for guitar, and I found only a few programmed sounds worked with harmonica and mic. With the DM48 they ALL work, and some sound fantastic!

If you combine your favourite Thor iPad patches with multi effects you can get some brilliant sounds. I played all day with it yesterday! I'm inspired, and feeling confident to start using the DM48/iPad combo on a gig. Have a couple coming up, will report how it goes.

The Mini PitchBender is nearly ready to ship. It's working great, and I keep finding new ways to use it. Yesterday started to combine slider up and pitchbend down to get pretty interesting complex turns and decorations that weren't possible on harmonica before.

It's a brave new world!
