Single or Double Accordeon, Bandoneon Reed, Tunable Harmonica with Gun Trigger Tuner inspired by Russian Jews Harp

Anything apart from the two mainstream default harmonicas (Solo-tuned fully-valved chromatic, and un-valved Richter 10-hole diatonic). Alternate tunings, different construction, new functionality, interesting old designs, wishful-thinking... whatever!

Single or Double Accordeon, Bandoneon Reed, Tunable Harmonica with Gun Trigger Tuner inspired by Russian Jews Harp

Hello there,

Its been a long time since I saw a single reed jews harp which was tunable with gun trigger mechanism . That jews harp been installed with guitar magnetic or so sensor.

When you trigger the mechanism , it makes the lenght of the reed shortens or lenghtens and by this way you have multiple notes..

I thought same thing can be applied for single or octave apart double reed Harmonica which is made from single or octave tuned double long wide reed and one mechanism can change its lenght and use as multiple tuned harmonica. Its economical , small , sound best and mechanism can be 3d printed.

I hereby attached bandoneon reeds technical drawings and tuning guide. Its 17 pages pdf.

HERE IS THE PDF : Google drive link :

For tuneable (mouth-)harmonicas with magnetic technik look here:

Just to see what already is working.

I would like to get some Information to the Russian jaws harp. The only one I know up till now is one with a little magnetic ball attached to the free end of the reed to tune. It is working, but I found it not very prakticable. It seems to be not for sale any more.

Hi Triona,

I saw that jewish harps picture may be 10 years ago .

You put your finger on an gun trigger and force or release the trigger with one finger and it changes the lenght of free reed.

It was a laser cut piece and highly grotesque. I think it was from Siberia

I dont know anything more.

Seydel 1847 minor tunable harp is wonderful , thank you for the post. Magnetic balls are super idea.

Thank you again and wish you the best.

Umut
