221 Tuning

Anything apart from the two mainstream default harmonicas (Solo-tuned fully-valved chromatic, and un-valved Richter 10-hole diatonic). Alternate tunings, different construction, new functionality, interesting old designs, wishful-thinking... whatever!

This 10-hole harmonica has a special alternate tuning Kniri 221
This allows to play 5 different mixolydian major scales and 5 different natural minor (aeolian) scales, which are related/similar to the circle of 4ths (and 5ths).

F7, Gm7, Bb7, Cm7, Eb7, Fm7, Ab7, Bbm7 , Db7, Ebm

Layout
E/G/Bb/D/F/Ab/C/Eb/Gb/Bb-blow
F/A/C/Eb/G/Bb/Db/F/Ab/B-draw

A detailed description of this alternate tuning system can be found at http://www.kniri.ch
