Comb of Fanfare S question

Anything apart from the two mainstream default harmonicas (Solo-tuned fully-valved chromatic, and un-valved Richter 10-hole diatonic). Alternate tunings, different construction, new functionality, interesting old designs, wishful-thinking... whatever!

What is the function of the divider within chambers of the Fanfare S?

It is the same comb as used on their chromatics, so the button in and button out reeds need to be separated. That saves them some programming/ machining work.
Also, tremolo reeds seem to work better with the divider, even though you activate both chambers at the same time. Without the divider there seems to some interference, at least there was on an old echo harp I restored, I made new dividers and the reeds sounded better.

All the tremolos I know have these horizontal dividers - and all octave harps I know as well. I guess Eric explained the reasons for this very well. And this has already been like this long before the chromatic harps even had been invented.
