Installing powercomb on 260

I don't understand why these nails are to be put back in - instead of screws. Why install any screws at all?

If I knew what size screws to get I could search for them on line.

now I need new valves cause I creased a few trying to get the broken spring out.

I got the holes drilled ok. The comb is installed, sort of. I don't have anything to sand them down flush. I tried adjusting them before tightening but it didn't do a lot.



I'll have to go intown tomorrow and get something to sand this down.
