Engraving pen recommendations

Post by jb667 »

Following something Brendan mentioned in a YouTube video, I got myself a cheap cordless engraving pen from Amazon to do some retuning. It saved me so much time and worked wonderfully... Until it didn't. This morning, with no warning, it refused to turn on. It was recharged last night, so I know it couldn't be a battery issue. Perhaps the motor burned out.

So anyway, I'm now looking for a replacement. Does anyone have any brand/model recommendations for something that will last me more than a couple of months. I'm happy to pay more for something that will last longer, but I just don't know what that thing might be.

Does anyone here have any recommendations, or should I go back to the old manual way of doing it?

I suggest go on Amazon reviews to find a replacement. If there are many and they're mostly positive, you should be onto a reliable engraver.

Mine are not expensive and they've lasted years. They use replaceable batteries.
