JDR Trochilus: A Look inside and its potential as a customizing platform

Anything apart from the two mainstream default harmonicas (Solo-tuned fully-valved chromatic, and un-valved Richter 10-hole diatonic). Alternate tunings, different construction, new functionality, interesting old designs, wishful-thinking... whatever!

I designed and lasercut an alternative slider for the Trochilus, to enable operation using the right thumb. This is better for playing with cupping when holding a mic. It's what I've been using in recent video clips (Freebird, Hotel California etc):

As you can see, it requires some grinding away of the mouthpiece at the treble end, so it's not suitable as a product to offer. Jut shown here for interest :)
